My Current Skincare Routine

Today I'm going to talk about my skincare routine. I have pretty oily and acne prone skin but at the same time, it's dehydrated underneath the oily skin.

For cleansing and moisturizing my skin.
L-R: HiPitch Deep Cleansing Oil, Naris Up Marine Collagen Skin Conditioner (toner), AQUALJUJU AquaMoist Hyaluronic Acid Essence, Kiss My Face Peaches and Creme 4% Alpha-Hydroxy Moisturizer

I always cleanse double cleanse my skin whenever I use makeup so that I can be sure all of it is removed. In addition to the HiPitch Cleansing oil, I also use a Dove cream cleanser. In the mornings, I only use Cetaphil to cleanse my skin. It's really nice and great for sensitive skin!

Even though I use HiPitch cleansing oil, I just only recently started using it because my Shiseido TISS cleansing oil was done with. Truthfully, HiPitch sucks -_-. It doesn't really get rid of my makeup even though I had to squirted out a lot of oil and it felt so greasy even after I washed it off! I've never used a cleansing oil that was that bad! The only thing I like about it was the scent.. I will never purchase it again and I don't recommend it to anyone.

For my toner, I'm currently using Naris Up. Apparently people are saying that it has alcohol in it so I'm not going to repurchase that again because whats the point of having a toner that dries the skin instead of moisturizes it?

For essence, I don't use the AquaMoist everyday because it causes me to break out if I put too much on. I only put a drop or so on every few days.

I already reviewed the Kiss My Face moisturizer a few months ago. Super good and I still recommend it to everyone. It stings a bit when you put it on, but I know that it will speed up the cell turnover which is great! It gets rid of my old red acne scars faster because of that.

Now onto acne products. I have used so many acne products over the last decade years but I'm still trying to find which ones are the best.

Acne products I currently use.
L-R: Shiseido Purifying Mask, Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque, Pinkey Blackhead Off Face Mask, Clean & Clear Persa-Gel 5, Shiseido Pureness Blemish Clearing Gel

My new acne mask I'm in love with is the Shiseido Purifying Mask. You only put it on for 5 minutes but yet it gets rid of my breakouts almost the next day (or at least it makes them much smaller). It works even better than the Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque, which was one of my favourites for the past few years. The only downside is that it is quite expensive for such a small bottle.

Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque is great because it's cheap and it gets the job done. I now mainly use it for my blackheads on my nose. It sucks out all the unwanted oils on your face. I don't exactly like the mint smell too much though because it's quite overpowering.

I also use the Pinkey Blackhead Off Face Mask to get rid of my blackheads. It's not that affective though so I don't really recommend it. I just wanted to try it because I needed to add some extra products for free shipping when I bought some stuff from Sasa.com a while ago.

For the Shiseido blemish gel, I don't really recommend it. You don't get much for such a low % of salicydic acid (0.5%) for such an expensive price. Drugstore products are much better in my opinion.

I also use masks every few days to keep my skin moisturized.

L-R: Hisamitsu Lifecella Eye Masks, IsQueen Sheet Mask Deep Repairing Mask

These are my current faves! I did a review earlier on the Hisamitsu Lifecella eye masks and I also found my new favourite face mask (IsQueen). I like how it fits my face better than most as I have a small face and most of the sheet masks I've tried are pretty big, except for My Beauty Diary masks, which I like also. The IsQueen masks I've tried aren't spectacular like WOW! but I like how it moisturizes my skin without breaking out.

On a side note, I've been buying too much skincare lately.. I want more makeup T_T

Online Shopping

I bought some more clothes on Yahoo Auctions JP. Actually I got these a while ago but I kept forgetting to upload the pictures.

Gilfy Shirt

I love this!! I can wear this in the summer when there is cooler weather cause it's pretty thin! I bought another Gilfy shirt before around half a year ago but the v-neck was wayyy too low for me so I had to sell it. :( This one is perfect. The scoop neck isn't too low.

REDARK One Piece

I really liked how this looked on a model that wore something similar to this but when I got it, I found that it's kind of too long for me. :( OH well.. I'll make it work somehow.

The only thing I don't like about this is that there is a double hood! So the hood area is super super thick and it feels so uncomfortable there! It's like I have huge baggage tied around my neck -_-"

I bought some more stuff from Japan again online. I think it's the fact that I haven't seen much appealing stuff here in Western malls for the past few months.

I was thinking of getting a black romper/long pants that's pretty hit right now.
After I saw Sakurina rockin' it, I wanted to buy it.. but I changed my mind in the last moment. I could only wear it in the Summer in August (by the time it would get here b/c of shipping) and then I would probably never wear it ever again next summer. And it was almost 4000 yen not including domestic shipping.. so with the shopping service fee and international shipping it would be wayyy too expensive for a thing I probably wear only a few times. But I've been really getting into Sakurina lately and basically anything Agejo.. I might even start reading Ageha too.

I bought the Rimmel Sexy Curves mascara yesterday because all of Rimmel's mascaras were $4.99 and I needed a new mascara. My Rimmel Glam Eyes mascara was starting to stink real bad. I don't really like this mascara... it's pretty clumpy! I might just shell out more money to buy a better quality Japanese mascara like going back to using Majolica Majorca or trying Fiberwig. I've never tried Fiberwig so it might be my next purchase.

St. Tropez & Clarins Tanning

I was in a huge tanning phase for the past 2 months so I've been trying different self-tanners again. I hate how most drugstore self-tanners make me look so damn orange! I'm still trying to find my HG tanner that will make me brown and not orange.

The one self-tanner that I really like so far is the famous St. Tropez Whipped Bronze Instant Self-Tanning Mousse. I got it in the 120ml bottle and use this only on my body. I like how it's super fast drying (since it's a mousse) so I can put my clothes back on after a few minutes after applying it. It doesn't have that greasy/sticky feeling either which I hate how most drugstore tanners are! The smell isn't the most pleasant but at least it's much better than other ones.

For my face, I'm currently using Clarins Liquid Bronze Self Tanning Milk. I use a cotton pad to apply it to my face. It doesn't make me break out and it doesn't make me look orange if I apply sparingly.

Nails & ELF Package

I got some fake nails! I'm still getting used to the length haha. Actually, the nails were even longer before but I had to file them down or else I seriously can't do anything with my hands! I seriously wonder how gyarus with the super super long nails are able to carry on with their day!

Sakurina's nails. Too long and way too much going on for my taste haha.. I wonder how she does anything in those nails! Even with my current length, it's hard to zip up my pants.

My ELF mini haul came today. I didn't order much. They were having a BOGO 50% so I decided to order on a soompi survey to share shipping costs.

Healthy Glow Bronzing Powder in Warm Tan
Eyeshadow Brush
Blending Eye Brush
Studio Line Powder Brush

My god.. I love the powder brush! It's the softest brush I have ever used.

Birthday <3

So it was my birthday today. My mom and I decided to just go to downtown to Yorkville and do some window shopping for fun. Then I had sushi for dinner with my family. :D I found my favourite new Japanese restaurant and luckily it's not too far away from where I live.

I had a Chirashi don. The place was pretty busy and the waitress didn't really have time to serve us so they gave us a free plate of mackerel and made my chirashi don extra big!

It was raining for most of the day today but it was also sunny too. We have such weird weather in Canada... one minute it's raining, the next it's super sunny! I took a picture of a rainbow today after it had rained. So pretty...

It was kind of hard to take the pictures because I was in the car when I saw the rainbow.

My eye makeup today:

Just a really basic look. My Honey Wing circle lenses + MAC blacktrack fluidline and mascara. I'm looking for more natural fake lashes to wear so I can wear them in the daytime. The NYX lashes I got were way too dramatic for daytime wear after I tried them on.

Anyways, that's it for today. My feet hurt from walking so much today. Boo :( It's still a weird feeling to be a year older. I don't feel any different or older than how I was yesterday. o_o

My New Love

I think I've found my favourite hair product. Asience hair treatment is the best ^o^! My hair was and still is super damaged after dying it constantly lighter for the past 3 years but after using this treatment, it has become so much softer and smoother. Goodbye coarse and dry hair! I leave the treatment on my hair with a shower cap for around 10-15 minutes while I shower and then wash it off after even though it says to only leave it in for 2 minutes. I also use Biosilk after, which is also another good hair product to use on damaged hair.

My ELF products that I ordered a while ago is coming soon. :D I can't wait to try the Studio line bronzing brush.

It's Been A While..

Sorry for the lack of posts. I haven't been feeling like blogging lately. I will try to blog more in the future.

Today I went to Sephora to pick up my birthday gift since my birthday is coming up. The lip glosses are cute and smell good. :) I haven't tried them yet. But I heard that they aren't too good haha. Maybe if they aren't good, I will just keep them and get high on the lovely scent! :D

I also received my MeMeMe Beat The Blues Highlighter a few weeks back but I totally forgot about it. After Bubzbeauty on Youtube used it in one of her videos and it gave her such a nice glow, I had to get it. It's supposed to be a dupe of Benefit's High Beam but it's 1/4 of the price! Unfortunately, you can only find it in the UK so I had to purchase it on eBay. Luckily it wasn't very expensive.. only around $11 CAD or so.

That's it for today.. Hope everyone has a very happy father's day tomorrow :)
